Ivermectin, Friend or Foe?

In today’s crazy world of Left vs Right, one thing in particular took a beating in ‘gaslighting’ during the plan-demic. That one thing was the drug Ivermectin. Its history is quite fascinating when you look at the raw facts, and forget all the gaslighting crap that has come from the Left over the past few years. Ivermectin has taken an incredible journey from soil to medicine, and here’s how that went. :

  • Discovery (1970s): The story starts with Satoshi Ōmura, a Japanese microbiologist, who isolated a bacterium from soil in the 1970s [Nature Journal, Ivermectin]. This bacterium, Streptomyces avermictilis, produced a compound with antiparasitic properties. Ōmura then collaborated with William Campbell, a scientist at Merck, for further development.
  • Veterinary Use (1981): Through research and modification, they derived ivermectin from the original compound. Merck commercialized ivermectin as a veterinary medicine in 1981. It became a huge success for treating heartworm and other parasitic infections in animals.
  • Human Use (1987): Recognizing its potential, researchers explored its use in humans. In 1987, ivermectin was approved for treating various parasitic diseases like river blindness (onchocerciasis) affecting millions globally. Merck even donated the drug for this purpose.

While the original discovery took place during the 1970s, Ivermectin was not used in the veterinary field until 1981. The credit for its invention goes to the collaborative efforts of Satoshi Ōmura and William Campbell, who later (2015) even shared a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their work.

Even though the FDA has not approved Ivermectin for treating many different conditions, out in the real world it’s been known to help with cancer, and viruses like dengue, Zika, influenza and even covid. It’s helped those with inflammatory skin conditions like rosacea, with topical formulations showing great results. Ivermectin can also modulate the immune system, potentially impacting autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease. Get this, it is recognized, 2nd to penicillin, for having the greatest impact on human health.

Starting back in the late 1980s, the use of Ivermectin against river blindness was recognized. Mass treatment programs with ivermectin began in many regions. River Blindness is a parasitic disease, transmitted by black flies, and it used to be a major public health concern. It caused immense suffering, including severe itching, skin lesions, and even blindness. The results were remarkable. The World Health Organization (WHO) has documented successful control and even elimination of river blindness in some areas. This was a very significant public health achievement. The Left, including some very people people such as Anthony Fauci does not want you to know this, but it has been used by humans for decades, in fact it’s been administered over 3.7 billion times in humans.

Back in 2009-2010, Ivermectin was identified by DARPA as ‘effective against coronaviruses‘ but the federal government and their minions at the MSM hid this information from the public, and falsely labeled it as ‘horse medicine’ even though there’s been at least 12 years of proven benefits in humans.

Important to Remember:

  • Ivermectin is a medication with side effects, and self-medicating can be dangerous.
  • Do not use ivermectin for any condition unless prescribed by a doctor and obtained from a legitimate source.
  • If you have any questions about ivermectin, consult a healthcare professional.
