Coronavirus deaths have climbed over 10,000, which forced the Surgeon General to release this statement back in April “This is going to be our Pearl Harbor moment, our 9/11 moment, only it’s not going to be localized. It’s going to be happening all over the country. And I want America to understand that.” .. Which is a very scary thing to hear from your top medical & health advisor. However, he followed up with this statement “And more people will die, even in the worst projections, from cigarette smoking in this country than are going to die from coronavirus this year.” .. Which is actually true if we look at the numbers put out by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). The CDC states “Cigarette smoking is responsible for more than 480,000 deaths per year in the United States, including more than 41,000 deaths resulting from secondhand smoke exposure. This is about one in five deaths annually, or 1,300 deaths every day.” … YES, you read that correctly, OVER 1,300 DEATHS PER DAY are attributed to smoking cigarettes. … Funny and strange that not one person from the LEFT or the Media, who we all know love to protest over just about anything, have not said a peep about it. I think throughout my years I remember some anti-smoking campaigns, but no one shut down their state or city (Yes, I know the cancer is non-transmittable; But the smoke itself is). Cigarettes are still legal (as long as you are of age) although the areas you are allowed to smoke in have dwindled to almost no where, but the #’s do not lie. Cigarette Smoke Will Kill More People This Year Than Coronavirus, PERIOD. .. Don’t forget to give this information to your Liberal friends and all the Nervous Nellies you know.
